Today’s spotlight is on YVES KLEINS TABLE D’OR GOLD LEAF COFFEE TABLE.

YVES KLEIN is a French artist who is considered an important figure in post-war European art. He originated his own color International Klein Blue (IKB) in 1960.

This coffee table is crafted of glass, plexiglass, wood, and steel and 3,000 sheets of gold leaf. (D’or means “of gold” in French). It measures 14.50″ x 49.25″ x 39.25″ and you get a placard of authenticity affixed to the underside when you purchase one.

The visual power of the Table d’Or can not be snubbed with its 3,000 gold-leaf sheets glittering below a plexiglass surface, it is in fact a stunning representation of luxury extravagance.
